Flexible Flatstock Moulding - 8' Length - Flexible Trim

Duraflex Flexible Moulding is a moisture-proof material that can bend like a belt around your waist. It is designed to withstand extreme heat and cold temperatures without warping, cracking, or deteriorating. The seamless construction ensures there are no lamination defects, making it perfect for both interior and exterior use.

Installation is a breeze with standard woodworking equipment - simply cut, sand, shape, and finish the material like wood. The Beige color blends seamlessly with any design, and the material is recommended for applications with a minimum radius of 6" or greater. To ensure a secure fit, it is recommended to fasten the Flexible Moulding with polyurethane construction adhesive behind and at miter joints, along with pneumatic pin nailing. The use of tape or clamps can also be helpful in securing the material in position while the adhesives bond.

Always install the Flexible Moulding first in a relaxed, non-tensile state. Keep nails to a minimum and 3/8" from any edge for best results. We recommend using Loctite PL Premium Polyurethane Construction Adhesive for a secure and durable installation.

When it comes to cutting the material, it can be shaped, sanded, and cut using standard woodworking equipment. For stain grade material, note that the wood grain is only on the surface and may be eliminated if sanded. When painting, primer coats are not recommended. Opt for water-based Acrylic Latex Paint or, if using Alkyd Enamels, an exterior primer such as Kilz is required. Additional drying time may be necessary when using Alkyd Enamels.

Never paint the material before installation, as the flexibility of the material may cause the paint to crack. Once painted, the Flexible Moulding has the appearance of real wood, adding a touch of elegance to any project.
